Ordering & minimums

What is your minimum order quantity?

Minimums vary by format and specification. Folding cartons typically start at 1,000 units. Flexible packaging minimums depend on the format, material, and print requirements. Use our configurator for an instant estimate based on your exact specs, or book a free consultation and we'll advise on the most cost-effective run size for your situation.

How long does production take?

Standard production lead times are 15 to 25 business days from artwork approval. This does not include design time if you are using our design service. Rush production is available on select orders — contact us to discuss your timeline before placing your order.

What is your payment structure?

We require a 50% deposit upon invoice approval to move into production. The remaining 50% is due before shipment. We accept credit card, ACH bank transfer, and wire transfer in both CAD and USD.
Design & artwork

Do you offer design services?

Yes. We offer full packaging design including structural dieline creation, graphic design and brand application, 3D mockups, and press-ready file preparation. Design starts at $650 CAD per SKU and is credited back on production orders over $5,000. See our Services page for full details.

What file formats do you accept for artwork?

We accept Adobe Illustrator (AI), PDF, and EPS files. All artwork must be supplied at 300 DPI minimum with all fonts outlined and bleeds set to 3mm. If you are using our design service we handle all file preparation — you just supply your brand assets.

What happens to my files after my first order?

Your dielines, approved artwork, and production specifications are stored on file permanently. Reordering is a single conversation — same specs, same quality, no re-briefing. We will proactively notify you of any material or compliance changes that affect your packaging.
Shipping & delivery

Do you ship to the United States?

Yes. We ship to all Canadian provinces and across the United States. Cross-border shipments include USMCA certification where applicable, which eliminates or reduces import duties for our US clients. Note that printed cannabis-specific packaging cannot cross the Canada-US border — contact us to discuss options for US cannabis brands.

Can you handle both folding cartons and flexible packaging?

Yes — that is our core advantage. Most brands manage two separate vendors for these formats. Paired Packaging handles both under one roof, one relationship, and one point of contact. This means consistent communication, aligned timelines, and no briefing two suppliers separately.
Compliance & cannabis

What compliance requirements can you help with?

We advise on Health Canada cannabis packaging requirements, CPSC child-resistant packaging standards for Canadian and US markets, food contact material requirements for food and beverage brands, and general retail packaging requirements. Compliance guidance is included in every consultation at no extra charge.

Do you offer packaging consultation before I commit to an order?

Yes. We offer a free 30-minute packaging consultation for all new brands. We cover format and material recommendations, compliance requirements for your product category, realistic budget ranges, and run size guidance. You receive a written brief within 48 hours. There is no obligation to place an order.
